Traco Systems in use at border controls in Germany

Published on June 30, 2025

Since the beginning of May 2025, there have been increased border controls at Germany's national borders. As a result, there is a growing need for temporary traffic safety measures at many border crossings in order to identify traffic jams and delays at an early stage and ensure traffic safety for all involved.

Traco Systems for greater safety on the A60 motorway to the Belgian border

In June 2025, Saferoad Traffic received a request from WKU-Verkehrssicherung in Kirchberg to install our Traco Systems at the border crossing on the A60 motorway to the Belgian border.

On behalf of the Trier Federal Police Inspectorate, three systems were installed to specifically alert road users to the necessary speed reduction before the checkpoint.

Flexible technology for police and road users

Our Traco Systems feature a dynamic display. If necessary, these can be manually activated by the police in special situations via an integrated QR code – a major advantage for flexible use in response to short-term requirements.
