Saferoad Traffic equips Sweden with modern congestion warning technology

At the end of July 2025, Saferoad Traffic successfully completed an important construction site safety project on the E4 motorway in Sweden. Extensive repair and renewal work was carried out on the guard rails between Huskvarna and Gränna on behalf of Skanska (via Saferoad Traffic Sweden). To safely direct traffic during the construction work and prevent traffic jams, our team installed modern traffic jam warning technology consisting of 6 Traco systems, 2 sensors, and SafeTracx software. In addition to LED variable traffic signs, several kilometers of concrete safety barriers and temporary road markings were also used.

Efficient installation in two nights

Thanks to precise planning, the installation was completed in just two nights:

Night 1: Installation of the innovative Traco systems
Night 2: Installation of the sensors and traffic measurement technology

More than 20 employees from various locations and business areas were involved in the implementation. The close cooperation between the German and Swedish Saferoad Traffic Teams deserves special mention.
